Krister is CEO of Lantmännen Cerealia and a member of the Management Team of the Lantmännen Group since August 2014. Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Lantmännen Cerealia is the largest Nordic grain-based food company with leading positions in categories like Oat, Flour, Crisp bread and Cereals across Nordic, strong positions in fresh RTE and total net sales of around US$600MM.
Prior to this role Krister has had a long career with Kraft/Mondelez in Sweden and Nordic but also in Europe and Asia. Before leaving for Lantmännen Krister was President and responsible for Mondelez European Gum & Candy business, and a member of the Mondelez European Leadership Team, and Mondelez Global Mondelez Leadership Council, based in Zürich, Switzerland. In this role he led the European Gum and Candy business with brands like Trident, Stimorol, Hollywood, Halls and Bassetts, with 10 plants across Europe and net sales of around US$1bn.
Prior to that he was Area Director for Mondelez/Kraft Foods Nordic, Krister led the US$1bn Nordic organization with leading positions in Chocolate (Marabou, Freia), Coffee (Gevalia) and Gum (Stimorol) for 2,5 years, following from 2 years as Managing Director in Denmark.
Krister is Swedish, but has extensive international experience. Prior to the current role Krister has spent 13 years outside Sweden in various roles in Kraft/Mondelez in Europe and Asia Pacific in executive roles as well as in-market operational roles. His international career started in 1999 in the then new European Coffee Category organization in Kraft with pan-European responsibility for Jacobs Coffee, based in London. After a little over three years he moved to Beijing, China as Director Marketing for Greater China. After that, and after 3,5 years as VP Beverages for Asia Pacific based in Singapore, he moved back to EU to the position as Managing Director Denmark at the very end of 2007, before taking the Nordic Area Director role in 2010.
Krister began his career in Kraft Foods in 1989 as Assistant Brand Manager for Gevalia in Sweden. He left Kraft in 1998 when he was Marketing Director Coffee & Food in Sweden to join V&S The Absolut Company as President Wine and Sales, but came back to Kraft early 1999.
Krister is a graduate of Stockholm School of Economics (Handelshögskolan), and a native of Sundsvall, Sweden. He currently resides with his family including wife Dawan in Stockholm. He loves travelling, enjoys golf & skiing and tries to keep in shape, even if he says that he is far from the shape he had as an orienteerer and cross-country skier in the past.
